About The Company

Fluid Inclusion Technologies, Inc. is a petroleum industry service company that specializes in laboratory analysis of trapped fluids in rock material, and advanced borehole gas analysis on drilling wells. The ultimate goal of these services is to enable clients to address petroleum systems and reservoir characterization problems. FIT is based in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and was established in 1997 as a spinoff of Amoco Production Research.

About The Employees

Don Hall

Don Hall is the President of Fluid Inclusion Technologies, Inc., Tulsa, OK, USA. Don received B.S. (1982) and M.S. (1985) degrees in geology from the University of California at Riverside, and a Ph.D. (1989) in geology from Virginia Tech. He joined Amoco Production Research in 1990 as a research scientist and worked on development and implementation of novel fluid inclusion instrumentation and techniques.

He left Amoco in 1997 and co-founded Fluid Inclusion Technologies, Inc., where he continues to develop and promote focused research and rock/fluid-based analytical programs to help address hydrocarbon exploration and production problems.

Mike Sterner

Mike Sterner is the Vice-President of Research and Development for Fluid Inclusion Technologies Inc., Tulsa, OK, USA. Previously, he was a senior research scientist at Pacific Northwest Laboratory where he was involved in thermodynamic modeling of electrolyte solutions.

Mike has a BS in chemistry from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in geology from Virginia Tech.

Wells Shentwu

Wells Shentwu is the Vice-President of Operations for Fluid Inclusion Technologies, Inc., Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. Wells received his B.S. degree in Management Information Systems from Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma.

He joined Amoco Production Research in 1991 as a research technician.

He left Amoco in 1997 and co-founded Fluid Inclusion Technologies, Inc., where his duties include logistics, contracts and finances.
